Brazilian Futbol Legend Pele - A God?

There is no doubt that the modern game of futbol is in part the creation of Brazil's pride and joy, Pele. But has the national love of Pele gone too far? Sources close to the futbol legend have reportedly spoken to Pele’s private doctors, concerned about their national hero’s mental health. Pele was reportedly yelling from his seat within the Maracana Vip Box about thinking of himself as a god. It has also been reported that Pele has spent this past summer searching for the fountain of youth, rather than forging business ties for his home country. While the nation of Brazil would certainly agree that Pele is a god on the futbol pitch, and it would certainly be difficult to find one who would disagree, Pele’s powers can only reach so far. Is this legend’s mind going with his age? Or is the near universal love of Pele simply getting to the old timer’s head? Perhaps the real intrigue will be found within the VIP box this Olympic season, and not on the fields of Rio’s stadiums.
