Russia is deeply disturbed to learn that the perpetrators of the henous bombing act against our track team was a Russian national from Chechnya. The Russian government believes that this perpetrator, who goes by the nom de guerre Abu Sawaha al-Dubai, has fought in both the Chechnya Wars against our government and in the Syrian Civil War on the side of Islamic extremists. He has been implicated in numerous horrific acts of violence against Russian citizens, including the 2010 Moscow metro bombings. We hope the world will stand united against terrorists who seek to undermine the unity of the world's greatest sporting event.
