The turmoil during the course of the Rio 2016 Olympic Games has been unacceptable. Corruption within the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and internal issues within the Brazilian government have been the root of these problems. Now is the time for change. After the arrest and impeachment of Craig Reedie, I, Renato Ciuchini have become the acting president of the IOC. I plan to do everything in my power to ensure the Games will continue, through dialogues between all parties involved.
