Russia is deeply disturbed by the reports of an explosion at the 100 meter track event. This act was not only henious, but terroristic in nature. We fervently hope that its radical terrorist perpetrators will be brought to justice as soon as possible.
Given that it appears Russians were among the casualties, our nation is concerned about the Brazilian security services' lack of population protection capabilities. Russia will do everything in its protect itself citizens. All this said, we hope that the Brazilian-Russian partnership will continue to persevere in spite of this tragic incident.
